Illegal Drug Use in the US Navy

ABOARD USS BLUE RIDGE, At sea — That illegal drug abuse can cause catastrophic damage to the human body and mind is no mystery; what is mysterious is that some Sailors in todays Navy still choose to use them.

According to the National Institute of Drug Abuse, the impact of addiction can be far reaching, including cardiovascular disease, stroke, cancer, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, and lung disease. And these results arent necessarily a consequence of prolonged use, although chances are higher; some illegal drug abusers incur fatal effects after just one use. Enforcing the Navys zero-tolerance policy through the administration of constant random eating disorder treatment is one method Seventh Fleet uses to combat illegal drug use.
